The Bumpin Buffalo! - Or How I Stopped Driving & Visited A Unique Bar and Grille In Hill City, SD

Driving through Hill City, and being a bit thirsty, Duchess and I spotted the Bumpin Buffalo! An old store-front type bar and grille. We had to stop. We were served some fine beers by Carol who loves the town and the bar. The back bar and bar were made by Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company (Yes the same company that makes pool tables. They originally cost $3,000 and today the few remaining are reportedly worth more than $50,000. This one was originally in a Deadwood Saloon.
I just had to try the "Moose Drool Brown Ale" Duchess had Boulevard Wheat Beer. Both were good.
I'd have been fine, except we began to peruse the menu. The result for Duchess was a nice soup-salad-salmon dinner. Yours truly went off on a tangent and followed deep fried breaded pickle slices with an 11 oz country fried steak which proved to cover my entire plate! We'll have the last 2/3rds of it for lunch today!

Love these small places we find along the road.
